ASHEN HORDE - BLACK CURSE
When Markisan Naso, author and owner of Skull Fracture Records, approached me about designing the artwork for an EP to coincide with the release of APEX: An Anthology of Dinosaur Tales, which includes his story TO MEGA THERION, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. The EP contains 2 tracks by one of my favorite progressive black metal bands, Ashen Horde. I was provided with a killer cover illustration by artist Jonathan La Mantia, featuring Phantar, the story’s main character. I created a layout that effectively compliments the illustration as well as captures the spirit, essence and brutality of both the music and the story.
